Handmade Long Sleeve French Cuffs Tuxedo Smoking Shirt
This super limited edition RSWS06 handmade shirt design is the only piece of its kind made by hand in the \world exclusively for Cruvoir in Los Angeles. The design was created specially for the SS2016 “Examen Reginae” collection.
It was created from Geoffrey B. Small’s long sleeve french cuffs tuxedo smoking shirt pattern from extensive tailoring research, and cut using a luxury pure Como printed silk Raso satin fabric from the world’s leading silk production region, then hand dyed in Geoffrey’s studios with a special process which takes over 6 hours for each piece to achieve its special patina and unique effects.
The design also features special silk covered button created in Cavarzere workrooms and no less than 11 hand-stitched buttonholes (each one requires 8-10 minutes to cut and sew, over 2 hours of painstaking expert work just to make the buttonholes alone for a single shirt) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta thread. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special hand dyeing technique.
