Handmade Slim Fit 1 Button Double-Vented Jacket
This special hand dyed dark black version of the super limited edition RSJ08 handmade jacket design is one of only 2 pieces of its kind made by hand in the entire world exclusively for Cruvoir in Los Angeles.
It was created from a modified 1910’s one button slim fit peak-lapel single-breasted jacket pattern from Geoffrey B. Small extensive tailoring research, and cut using a very special hand dyed woven double faced 59% linen 41% cotton fabric (which was not treated or finished with any chemicals) designed and woven exclusively for Geoffrey by Luigi Parisotto and family in Sarcedo, Italy, the world’s leading organic linen and cotton research textile maker.
Combined with a special jacquard striped viscose side panel from Tessitura Mauri in Como, and authentic Bemberg cupro sleeve linings from Novara, then specially hand dyed in Cavarzere using a special process that requires at least 8 hours for each piece to achieve its special Darkest Black patina and effects.
The piece also features beautiful jacquard trims woven only for Geoffrey, real working buttonhole surgeon’s sleeve cuffs, hand cut besom welt pockets, remarkable real artisan made horn buttons from Parma, Italy, and 8 real hand stitched buttonholes (each one requires 8-10 minutes to cut and sew) in luxurious pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta thread. Variations in color and color density are not imperfections or irregularities, but specific characteristics of the special fabric, and hand making technique.
